The twergi, Santa's helper gnomes
During the walk from the arrival station of the trains (departure from P.zza XXIV Maggio in Ornavasso) to the Santa Claus Grotto (about 600 meters), you will meet in the woods the unique homes of the Twergi, the Walser elves, who will reveal the secrets of Christmas
You save 4.00 euros per person, you have a flexible date if you can't come and free admission to the Palazzo dei Giochi under the tree in Stresa (15 minutes from Ornavasso)

The underground cave
The Santa Claus grotto is obtained in the ancient quarry from which the marble was also extracted for the Milan Cathedral. You go through a tunnel of about 200 meters, with Christmas installations, then you meet Santa Claus, who will welcome the children. The free photo can be collected directly on site, a few minutes after the end of the visit.
It is not possible to get on by car: park in the free areas indicated in Ornavasso and then go up with the tourist train departing from P.zza XXIV Maggio (about 10 minutes)
With strollers, an alternative route on asphalt is available (without passing through the Twergi wood).
